Mineral County Yucca Mountain Oversight

Mineral County stretches across parts of two of Nevada’s fourteen major hydrographicregions or water basins (watersheds) with approximately the eastern half of the county located within the Central Region (Hydrographic Region 10) and the remaining western half of the county located within the Walker River Basin (Hydrographic Region 9). In addition to the two major hydrographic regions encompassing Mineral County, the county also contains, either wholly or partially, twenty-three hydrographic areas and hydrographic sub-areas. These hydrographic units typically consist of a single valley or discrete drainage area within a larger hydrographic region.
